Spending a day at Trendy Bonifacio Global City (BGC)Taguig!
BGC
World-class, that’s what comes to mind when we hear the word BGC. A one-of-a-kind city in Manila where you can do everything in one stop.
Bonifacio Global City’s streets resemble a giant shopping mall, with a stunning skyline dotted with towering structures.
Attractions
The Mind Museum is one of the well-known attractions in BGC. The museum’s interactive science exhibits are a big hit with young visitors, such as the Dinosaur figurines and Universe Gallery.
Sadly, the museum was closed during our visit, so we could not view its exhibits. But you are always welcome to visit every Friday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
You can also walk around the area to find the large Manila American Cemetery, which honors the men who served in World War II. The cemetery is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day.
Shops
BGC is renowned for its stylish retail sections packed with well-known brands and flagship stores that can be a little expensive. Unfortunately, my current budget only allows me to purchase discounted online products at this time. So, let’s just enjoy window shopping for now. It’s free!
While at this location, I stumbled across the outdoor store, Motor Streat. They sell vintage-looking, cute, and pricey motorcycles. Even though I rarely ride a bike, I like them all and secretly wish to own ten of them one day.
TimeZone is also the best spot for young people and those young at heart who are seeking thrilling games, arcades, and more.
Pets are welcome at BGC High Street, too. You may take your dogs for a walk around here, and they’ll also be pleased to see other pets out on a walk.
They have small shops where you can buy food for your pet if it gets hungry. Just a Friendly Reminder to pick up your pet’s poop to keep the BGC’s streets clean.
Plant Shop
The plant stores on BGC High Street are a major draw. Their plant selection ranges from the tiniest to the largest, as well as the most affordable to the most costly.
Since Plantitos and Plantitas grew popular during the pandemic, the BGC has become a haven for those plant-lovers like myself.
Aside from plants for interior decor, they also offer fruit plants such as mango, Rambutan, Calamansi, and many more. Perfect for those who want to start a garden or a little farm in their backyard.
Extended Market
Unfortunately, I couldn’t check the market’s weekend extension last time. They usually set up a tent on the BGC’s closed road and placed various local merchants selling veggies, food, drink, and souvenirs.
Tourists will have the chance to take selfies with the performers dressed in masquerade costumes. To support them, you are welcome to give any sum of money.
Many young kids are skating on the blocked roadway during the weekends. This could also be your go-to spot if you like to skate.
Moovr PH also lets you rent electric scooters and bikes if you want to get some exercise aside from walking.
Nearby Malls
The BGC High Street is located close to three famous shopping centers. You can reach Market Market and SM Aura by simply taking a short stroll.
Don’t want to leave the BGC area? With just a little bit more walking, you’ll arrive at the UPTown Mall.
Jamba Juice
I shouldn’t miss my favorite fresh juice at Jamba Juice here at BGC. I placed an order for their pure berry juice and am delighted with its soothing feeling. It has a small amount of sugar yet is still quite delicious. Siping it makes me feel like I’m in great shape.
Mango Tree
We discovered a lot of restaurants in this area, but at that time, we were in the mood for something unusual, something that we don’t get the chance to eat regularly, and we found… the Mango Tree, Thai Restaurant.
They don’t have mango trees inside, but they offer quite a few Thai specialties that I’ve been itching to eat.
Even though I was on a diet, I couldn’t stop eating their red curry since the sauce had such an unusual flavor and the meat was so tender.
They also offered excellent Phad Thai with Prawns. I liked all of the ingredients in it, especially the shrimp.
They also offered me many different kinds of mango desserts.
I chose Khao Niew Ma-muang (Mango Sticky Rice) since I read that it was the most famous Thai dessert. Fresh mango slices and coconut sauce were put on the sticky rice.
Even though it is still heavy and might make you feel full quickly, it is worth skipping your diet. I like how they designed this to be the ideal dessert after a heavy meal.
Mango Tree bistro serves Thai food in a trendy and cozy setting. To ensure that each client is happy with the complexity of flavors, it uses only the finest and freshest ingredients, an assortment of healthful Thai organic herbs and spices.
This restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. (Sunday to Thursday) and from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. (Fri to Sat)

Worth the Trip?
Whooo! Even though we were exhausted, it had been a terrific day for my team and me because BGC is a fantastic location for a city promenade. This place exudes an air of security and comfort. They also provide a wide range of services to make your stay more enjoyable.
Some people believe BGC is solely for individuals who can afford costly stores and restaurants; however, as I mentioned earlier, they are located near large malls where you can discover the most affordable shops.
And try to treat yourself every once in a while with things or food that might be pricey but are really worth it.
Check out other streets in the Metro that you’ll also like here!
So this is the end of our BGC trip for now, but we promised to come back and find more BGC attractions you will surely enjoy. We’d put that on our ANAther travel blog. See you, ba-bye!
