If you’re looking for a delicious meal that combines the best of both worlds, Gringo Chicken Ribs & Friends is the perfect place to go. This restaurant offers a wide range of mouth-watering dishes that are sure to satisfy any craving. The first branch of Gringo Chicken Ribs & Friends opened in 2016, and since then, the chain has expanded to almost 20 branches across the country. Since I’ve been craving some BBQ, we went to the nearest branch, the one in Carlos Palanca, Legazpi Village Makati.
The CHAR GRILLED CHICKEN & BBQ RIBS
One of the restaurant’s standout dishes is its char-grilled chicken, available in two flavors: lemon herb and southern blend. The chicken is cooked to perfection, with juicy skin and meat that’s full of flavor. The southern blend is a bit spicier, while the lemon herb has a fresh, zesty taste. Among the two, I liked the southern blend more as it fits to my Filipino taste buds. Salty and smokey, perfect to be paired with rice. Just similar to how we like our inasal, but this one with a tangy twist. Gringo Chicken Ribs & Friends is also famous for their BBQ ribs, which are so tender that they practically fall off the bone. Served with a tangy BBQ sauce, these ribs are sure to please even the pickiest of eaters.
To round out our meal, we tried some of the restaurant’s delicious side dishes. Options include coleslaw, macaroni salad, fries, and more. The sides we got depended on the size of the serving of chicken and ribs, we got 7 kinds in total. In addition to its mouth-watering food, Gringo Chicken Ribs & Friends has a fun and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant has colorful murals and graffiti decorations, giving it a lively and energetic feel. Moreover, it has an industrial and spacious interior that belies its small exterior. This makes it a perfect place to enjoy a meal with friends, family, or colleagues. The staff at this location are also attentive, making sure that our pitcher of water is always full and that we have everything we need for an enjoyable dining experience.
