Healthy Breakfast Buffet for P85 only! Emriz Bulalohan at Tapsihan

Healthy Breakfast Buffet Emriz Bulalohan at Tapsihan

In the heart of Mandaluyong, along the bustling Shaw Boulevard, Emriz Bulalohan at Tapsihan has emerged as a local treasure since its inception in October 2015. Originally envisioned as a modest carinderia, this unassuming eatery has progressed remarkably. It now offers a hearty selection of Filipino comfort foods and a recently introduced, much-talked-about Php 85 healthy breakfast buffet that started in April 2023. Emriz Bulalohan at Tapsihan began with a simple dream – the brainchild of its owner, Mr. Rizalino. In those early days, he aspired to create a cozy carinderia with just a handful of seats. Little did he know that his unwavering dedication and prayers would pave the way for the establishment’s expansion, now capable of accommodating up to 30 patrons at a time. Showing the result of the quality of food and the welcoming atmosphere that Mr. Rizalino and his team have cultivated over the years.

Mr. Rizalino, the passionate owner of Emriz Bulalohan at Tapsihan, priced the breakfast buffet at a symbolic Php 85. It’s not just a random number; it reflects his heartfelt wish for a long and prosperous life. He prayed to the Lord for a chance to live at least until 85 years old, and this price serves as a testament to that wish. This morning feast includes an array of mouthwatering dishes. From savory fried rice and delectable longganisa (a customer favorite) to perfectly fried tilapia and other fried fish. For those looking to add some greens to their morning meal, there’s also a refreshing veggie salad and more. The healthy breakfast buffet at Emriz Bulalohan at Tapsihan has become a morning ritual for many. Drawing long lines of eager customers every day. It operates 24/7, but the buffet is only available 8 AM – 10 AM every Monday – Friday.

My Experience

I have to admit that I was hesitant about this at first because how often can you hear a buffet that cheap? But I guess it wouldn’t hurt to try. We arrived there before 8 AM and waited for a few minutes. The staff was incredibly accommodating and let us sit while we waited for the healthy breakfast buffet. Customers can see how they prepare the food. Their kitchen is right behind the buffet display so everyone can see what their cooks are doing. Furthermore, it’s very easy to distinguish what they’re cooking as we can smell it from the seating. I honestly did not expect the carinderia to be this spacious given the price of the food. Unlike the usual eateries you can find on the side streets of Metro Manila, this one is undeniably more spacious. It’s also decorated with a Filipino old traditional home vibe.

Once the clock ticked 8 AM, we went in line and waited for probably 5 minutes before it was my turn. Right then I loaded my plate with fried rice, longganisa, veggie salad, boiled egg, and fried tilapia. My favorite is their sweet and savory Longganisa which I paired with vinegar. The flavors were not only satisfying but also incredibly worth it. I felt a little embarrassed when I was supposed to get other ulam (viand) on top of the buffet as they were only for a la carte orders. My Php 85 is ten times worthwhile nonetheless! Apart from the healthy breakfast buffet, they offer an extensive menu of Filipino comfort foods, including their best-selling bulalo and tapa, as well as adobo, sinigang, and more. Furthermore, they offer a traditional halo-halo that is perfect for dessert. Their ala carte dishes are also available for Food Panda and Grab deliveries.
