Lime Hotel Resort Manila – Honest Review

Lime Hotel Resort Manila

One of the newest hotels that locals and tourists should try is the Lime Hotel. It recently opened its doors in Manila in the first quarter of 2022. As soon as I walk inside the hotel, I noticed the carefully chosen hip and contemporary vibe in every crevice. They have a theme of mint-green, cold blue, and wooden accents that pops a tropical vibe. The view of the breathtaking natural splendor of Manila Bay that surrounds the hotel was such a good sight after the tiring heavy traffic drive. They have jaw-dropping décor and amenities such as the infinity pool at the Sky Lounge where you can enjoy the sunset while taking a dip or a swim. Although network reception is really hard while inside the building, they provide free WIFI for checked-in guests. The staff and crew are very welcoming and accommodating, checking-in was fast and convenient!

The Premier King Pool Side

As afore mentioned, the check-in in Lime Hotel Manila was smooth and easy, they even gave me a refreshing welcoming drink! I booked the Premier King Pool Side which usually costs Php 25,000 per night but we only got it for Php 12,119 in Agoda. Almost 50% off! So I suggest booking through that site for discounted prices. They will ask a security deposit upon check-in, refundable on check-out (Php 2,000) so you better make sure to be careful on utilizing everything in the room! What I like about the Premier King Pool Side is the open spacious lay-out that is very accessible and direct. Unfortunately, the Telephone Landline was not yet working during our stay so we couldn’t get in touch with the front desk. Have to go down stairs if we need anything. I’ll give it pass though since they’re just new and working on it.

Premier King Pool Side highlight is its own small swimming pool with an overlooking view! It also Includes:

  • An expansive 73 sqm room that has a king sized bed, with a private pool and balcony overlooking the bay.
  • Equipped with a 42” LED flat screen TV with local and international channels, coffee and tea-maker, a mini refrigerator, an in-room safety deposit box and a complimentary Wi-Fi access.
  • Each bed has a reading light, a mood light, and air conditioning for your comfort.
  • The bathrooms are equipped with a rainfall shower, toiletries, and hairdryer.
  • Each room can accommodate two adults and one child (12 years old and below) using existing bedding.

The Bayside Buffet

On the ground floor of Lime Hotel Manila, guests and visitors can have a taste of different Asian Cuisines in Bayside Buffet! We went here during the soft opening when they had a 50% discount rate. I was able to pay from Php 1,798 to Php 899 only! The interior looks really fancy and stylish. They have high ceilings with sparkling chandeliers surrounding the dining area. I also like the calming combination of the blue-white-gold palette on the chairs and tables. I chose seafood for my lunch such as shrimp, squid, clams, and more. Although it doesn’t taste as salty as what my Filipino buds would agree to, it’s still flavorful and delicious, nevertheless. I still think it would be better if they were a little bit salty though. Some of the staff are panicking in running and accommodating different customers but they were still patient and friendly.

I wouldn’t say that the service was perfect however, I’d let it pass since it was just the soft opening. The cost may be a bit pricey but considering the place and the quality of food, I’d say it was worth-it and quite reasonable. I felt willing to come back here and give it another chance so I did. Second time is the charm! We went back here for the Christmas Dinner. There were so many people dining and waiting in long lines to get the food from the Buffet. For the season, we paid around Php 1,199 per head (around 35% discount). The price may be more than what we gave the first time, it’s still alright because the service was better-attended us until our concern was done. They let us change tables since we didn’t want to dine at the second floor. Food tastes way more flavorful too!

The Deluxe Twin Bayview

After few months, I booked again in Lime Hotel Manila for our Christmas Dinner with colleagues. This time, I checked-in to a cheaper room which is the Deluxe Twin Bayview. The room costs Php 4,250 only. I suggest that people who plan to stay on short period of time and are only here for the amenities should take this. Although it’s half less than half the size of the first room I tried (Premier King Pool Side), it still feels as cozy and as relaxing. It doesn’t come with it own small pool but guests can book this and use the infinity pool by the Sky Lounge for free. Still a good deal, right? I brought my 2 kids with me and we just fit perfectly fine in the King Size Bed. People can also option for 2 double beds instead. Definitely a good stay for a tight-budget small family.

Sad thing about this is there is a huge reclaimed part of Manila Bay that you can see from the balcony. It used to look over the waters of the Bay and the beautiful sunset. Now, there’s a part in front of the Beach Club where they are currently filling up a part of the beach with sand. I suggest people to book in Lime Hotel early as they can while the view of the Bay and the Sunset is still clear. The Deluxe Twin Bayview includes:

  • An expansive 25 sqm room that has a king sized bed, with a balcony overlooking the bay.
  • Equipped with a 32” LED flat screen TV with local and international channels, coffee and tea-maker, a mini refrigerator, in-room safety deposit box and a complimentary Wi-Fi access.
  • Each bed has a reading light, a mood light, and air conditioning for your comfort.
  • The bathrooms are equipped with a rainfall shower, toiletries, and hairdryer.
  • Each room can accommodate two adults only or an adult and 2 kids.

The Sky Lounge and Sky Deck

For those who want to have dinner dates with loved ones on a rooftop setting, Lime Hotel’s new amenities are awaiting. They have the Sky Lounge and Sky Deck where some function rooms such as the Blue House and Glass House are located. The infinity pool with the stunning view of Manila Bay and sunset is just in front of the Cafe where people can dine without going outside the building. You may also rent the whole Sky Deck exclusively for Php 50,000 only, including the Infinity Pool (Php 30,000 consumable for the food and beverages and Php 20,000 for the area). Only checked in guests can use the Infinity Pool by the Sky Lounge, walk-ins are not allowed.

The Lime Beach Club

Across the Bayside Buffet outside the building, they have an alfresco bar and dining setting. At night, the place is blasting party music which is good for those looking for a fun-filled experience in the Hotel. However, people should take note that they don’t sell drinks and foods ala carte, tables and chairs are to be paid in consumable price. They have cute couple beds facing the Manila Bay that are great for sunset dates with lovers. Although we really wanted to stay as much as we can here, the weather did not permit us to do so. As the night gets deeper, we can feel some drizzling of rain so we went back to Bayside Buffet and proceed with our exchange gift. It would’ve been nice if they installed umbrellas or shades, which they said they are working on.

My colleagues could’ve stayed for longer time. However, they still have work the next day so we had to rest for the rest of the night.
