My Experience
Arriving just before noon, we found ourselves waiting for a table at Sachon Asian Cuisine. My initial impression was slightly tainted by a foul smell near the building’s entrance, though the restaurant’s location on the second floor offered some respite. While most of the staff were friendly, one attendant, a male, appeared rather uninterested, failing to crack a smile throughout our interaction. Despite this, once seated, we went ahead to the buffet spread. The food was impressive, offering a diverse array of options such as japchae, chicken karaage, and more. The restaurant’s spacious and well-ventilated ambiance, complete with a conveniently placed AC unit, enhanced our dining experience. However, I couldn’t help but notice the need for a bit more cleaning—a minor drawback that, considering the bargain price of PHP 399 for unlimited samgyupsal and buffet, seemed somewhat forgivable. Nonetheless, the quality of the meats exceeded expectations given the affordability.

Amidst the hustle and bustle, I couldn’t help but notice the customers, including students enjoying their lunch—in contrast to my own experience of scrimping on fast food during my school days. It’s a reflection of the changing times. We also tried their halo-halo. it was good, but they mainly used jelly, which felt a bit minimal in terms of ingredients. there were no plantain and sweet potatoes. I’m guessing maybe they still need to refill them. Overall, I’d rate the food an impressive 8 out of 10, while the ambiance, despite minor cleanliness concerns, would still warrant a respectable 6.5 out of 10. As for returning, it’s still up in the air. I might find myself drawn back by the tasty offerings, or perhaps not.
