SAMGYUPSAL – Top Korean BBQ in Metro Manila

Samgyupsal is a Korean dish that is made up of grilled pork belly slices. The name “samgyupsal” literally translates to “three-layered meat,” as the pork belly has three distinct layers of meat, fat, and skin. To prepare this, the pork belly is typically sliced into thin pieces and grilled over a hot grill or a portable stove at the table. It is often served with various side dishes, such as lettuce leaves, sliced garlic, and ssamjang, a spicy soybean paste. One of the most popular ways to enjoy the dish is to wrap a piece of grilled pork belly in a lettuce leaf, along with some garlic and ssamjang, and then eat it like a taco. This combination of flavors and textures is a real treat for the taste buds! Furthermore, this famous dish has become popular not only in Korea but in the Philippines as well.
